Bubba Wallace will drive the No. 23 car for Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin

If Genesis had it to do over again, it’s safe to say that its first three models would not have been a trio of sedans. The Genesis G80, G90, and G70 certainly have their merits, but when so many luxury-car intenders are shopping SUVs exclusively, the complete absence of such a vehicle in the lineup has prevented the brand from even getting consideration from a huge swath of the marketplace. Now, at last, comes salvation in the form of the GV80, the brand’s first SUV.

The arrival of the 2021 Genesis GV80 is such a momentous event that everything leading up to it feels like a preamble. This is the vehicle that will redefine Genesis, and that starts with its look. One upside of the GV80’s late arrival is that it skipped the milquetoast styling phase

Bubba Wallace will drive the No. 23 car for Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Picking the car number for Michael Jordan’s new NASCAR team was a slam dunk: Bubba Wallace will drive the No. 23 car when the team makes its debut next season.

Jordan named his team 23XI Racing — that’s pronounced twenty-three eleven — in honor of both his retired uniform number with the Chicago Bulls and the car number of his partner and three-time Daytona 500 champion Denny Hamlin.

Jordan and Hamlin announced last month they had formed a NASCAR team with Bubba Wallace as the driver, a high-profile pairing of a Black majority team owner and the only Black driver at NASCAR’s top level.

“This is the start of the new adventure! So ready! #23XI,” Wallace tweeted Thursday.

2021 Toyota Corolla Apex Review | Driving impressions, price, specs

Toyota has had something of a performance car revival over the past few years. It has released the Toyota 86 and Supra sports cars, and has even developed TRD versions of the Camry and Avalon. Things are even more exciting overseas with the wild, turbocharged, all-wheel-drive Yaris GR, which will reportedly spawn a fast Corolla for the United States. In the meantime, Toyota has spiced up its humble compact sedan with the 2021 Corolla Apex Edition.  It’s a limited edition with an aggressive body kit and chassis upgrades. Unfortunately, while it looks cool, it’s frustrating to drive and expensive for what you get.

So what exactly do you get with the Apex? On the outside, the Apex picks up a unique body kit incorporating a front spoiler, side skirts, and an aggressive rear diffuser, all in

Grosjean and Magnussen will leave Haas F1 at end of this season

Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen will leave the Haas Formula One team at the end of the season, the U.S.-owned outfit said on Thursday ahead of the Portuguese Grand Prix. Both drivers had earlier posted messages on social media announcing their departures.

Frenchman Grosjean, 34, has been at Haas since 2016, with Dane Magnussen, 28, joining in 2017.

“We have a lot of good memories together — in particular our 2018 season when we finished fifth in the standings in only our third season. Romain and Kevin played a significant part in that success,” team boss Guenther Steiner said in a statement.

Magnussen tweeted that he was still working on his plans for the future and wanted to finish the last six races of the season on a high.

Grosjean posted a message saying “the last chapter is closed

Ford Bronco Wildland Fire Rig Concept echoes past Forest Service trucks

For decades, Ford has offered Broncos in emergency vehicle form for all variety of services. One of the more well-known ones has been the U.S. Forest Service with their distinct green SUVs. With that in mind the company, along with outdoor gear manufacturer Filson, put together this 2021 Ford Bronco Wildland Fire Rig Concept. Besides being a cool concept that combines flashy show pieces with functional equipment, it also serves as a model for how the two firefighting-equipped Broncos that are being donated to the U.S. Forest Service will look like.

This concept Bronco started as a Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch package. From there, Ford added the modular steel bumper and Warn winch that will be available to Bronco customers. It also features a custom grille and a roof rack with a Rigid Industries LED lighting. Naturally,

Vanwall resurrected to make 1958 Formula One continuation cars

Successful but short-lived, England’s Vanwall has been unexpectedly resurrected to give five enthusiasts the rare opportunity to buy a 1950s Formula One car built in the 2020s. It could also develop more modern models.

Vanwall built neither vans nor walls; it was a racing team whose main claim to fame remains winning the first Formula One Constructors Trophy in 1958. It’s linked to several well-known personalities, including hugely successful race car driver Stirling Moss and Lotus founder Colin Chapman, but they all made a name for themselves elsewhere, after their stint at Vanwall. The team won nine Formula One races between 1954 and 1960, beating big-name rivals like Ferrari, but it then gradually faded into the pantheon of automotive history due partly to its founder’s failing health. An out-of-the-blue comeback staged in the 2000s failed to gain traction.

Then,
